This year’s edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has come to an end on May 29. After that, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar chose the best XI of his choice where he emphasizes performance and talent. Cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni did not get a place in Sachin’s top XI. The reason is very simple, they could not do justice to their name in this IPL.

Tendulkar wants to have a right-handed combination in the opening. So, he has chosen Jos Buttler and Shikhar Dhawan as the opening pair. Both are experienced and skilled batsmen. As he put his trust in Dhawan, he said of Buttler, ”I have not seen any terrific cricketer like him (Buttler) in this IPL. Once he starts batting, you can’t stop him. ”

KL Rahul got the number three position. Tendulkar remembers Rahul’s cool mentality while scoring run from the crease. Hardik Pandya, the captain who brought the title to Gujarat Titans, is in the top four. Pandya is considered to be a great batsman who is equally great at bat and ball. Tendulkar also praised his capability of hitting big sixes.

Another Gujarat star David Miller is in the top five. The South African has had the best time with the bat in this year’s IPL. After Miller, English all-rounder Liam Livingstone has taken place in Sachin’s XI. Number seven is Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik. The wicketkeeper, who has been out of the national team for a long time, has become a phoenix in this year’s IPL.

The next four are full-time bowlers in Sachin’s XI where there is a foreigner with three Indians. Tendulkar’s powerful bowling attack consists of Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Rashid Khan. Where Shami brings break-through at critical times, Bumrah is effective in death overs. And Sachin says the combined attack of Rashid and Chahal is dangerous for any team.
