Boris Johnson is under pressure with his post as PM. The British prime minister has survived no confidence vote this week. Former England spinner Monty Panesar has offered himself in replacement of Johnson who is under pressure.

The England Burmese Army, a group supporting of the England cricket team, shared a photo of Monty Panesar on Twitter with the caption, ‘The only MP (Panesar’s initials) I trust.’ Sharing this tweet, Panesar wrote, ”My chances of becoming the next Prime Minister are 1000 – 1. I am ready to serve the people as the Prime Minister. ”

British Prime Minister Johnson has been criticized for breaking the Covid-19 protocol and partying with several lawmakers. Since then, various quarters have demanded his resignation. He is safe for one year since he has won a no-confidence vote in the Britain’s ruling Conservative Party.

It is not new for the soldiers of 22 yards to get involved in politics. Pakistan’s World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan has long been involved in politics. He also served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2018 to April this year.
