The first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies is starting from June 16. The third batch of the Bangladesh national cricket team left the country for the Caribbean Islands in the third phase. In the third stage, there were only three passengers in the Bangladesh fleet. Bangladesh Cricket Board team director Khaled Mahmud Sujan was accompanied by spinner Taizul Islam and cutter master Mustafizur Rahman. The Qatar Airways plane carrying the Tigers arrived in the West Indies via Doha.
Before leaving for the Caribbean, Sujan spoke to a popular media about the former Tigers captain. Sujan thinks that Mominul has lost his batting by thinking too much about the team.
Asked how he would evaluate Mominul as captain, Sujan said, “I don’t know. However, since I have watched him closely, it seems that Mominul is not bad as a captain and most of all, he had a lot of worries about the Test team. He thought a lot about Bangladesh Test team. How the team could improve, how it could be established as a Test team, that was his thought. “
Sujan added: “I think Mominul used to think a little too much about the Test team. As a captain, too much thinking about the team has created some kind of extra pressure on him and I think that pressure has damaged his batting. He will not have the pressure of the captaincy in the West Indies this time. “
However, Sujan is quite optimistic about Batter Mominul. He said, “I am hopeful, we will get better performance from Batter Mominul. I always say that if Mominul is in rhythm and plays well is very good for our team. Because, he plays long innings most of the time. It would have benefited us. So, our team will be benefited when he returns to form.
