Yesterday, Southern Braves and Trent Rockets faced each other in the 25th match of The Hundred 2022. Where Trent Rockets came down to bat first and set up a hefty target for the Southern Braves. But chasing that target, Southern Brave took the match away with them, with 6 wickets in hand before the allotted 100 balls were over. As a result, Trent Rockets had to leave the field with a loss. At the end of this match, Southern Brave is in 6th place in the points table and Trent Rockets is in 2nd place in the points table after losing the match. On the other hand, Alex Davies won the man of the match award for his excellent batting.

Southern Brave won the toss, chose to bowl first, and sent off the Trent Rockets to bat. Malan and Alex Hales came down to bat first. Malan was playing well on one side but Alex Hales left the field on the other side. He was caught out in the 12th ball. He scored 8 runs off 7 balls with 1 four before leaving the field. After some time, Cadmore left the field. He also scored 8 runs from 12 balls with the help of 1 four.

Then Samit Patel entered the field on the opposite side of Malan. He was on the field with Malan for quite some time. But he was bowled out on the 68th ball and returned to the dressing room. He scored 21 runs off 15 balls along with 2 sixes. Then Malan left for the dressing room after being bowled out on the 78th ball. He scored the most runs for them before getting out. He played an innings of 59 runs off 41 balls. His innings of 59 runs had 4 fours and 2 sixes. 

Colin Munro left the field on the 95th ball. He scored 16 runs off 10 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six. Skipper Lewis Gregory left the field after being trapped by LBW in the last ball. He scored 10 runs in 13 balls. Besides, Daniel Sams was unbeaten on 3 runs. In the end, they set a target of 138 runs after losing 6 wickets with 13 runs extra.

Michael Hogan and James Fuller took 2 wickets each for Southern Braves. Besides, Paul Stirling and Jack Lintott took one wicket each.

In response, they lost only 4 wickets and reached the port of victory with 5 balls left. Batting first, Paul Stirling left the field after being bowled out on the 6th ball. He could not score a single run in 5 balls. Then Captain James Vince bowled out again in the 14th ball. He hit a golden duck.

Then Quinton de Kock and Alex Davies were playing very well together but Quinton de Kock was caught out on the 51st ball and left the field. He scored 24 runs off 23 balls with 2 fours and 1 six before getting out. Ross Whiteley returned to the dressing room on the 89th ball. He scored 30 runs off 21 balls. He also hit 2 fours and 1 six.

Alex Davies and Tim David then left the field with no wickets lost. Alex Davies remained unbeaten on 51 runs from 43 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six. With the help of 2 fours and 1 six, Tim David remained unbeaten on 19 runs after playing 6 balls. In the end, they stopped at 142 runs with 18 runs extra.

Sam Cook took 2 wickets for Trent Rockets. Besides, Lewis Gregory and Luke Wood took 1 wicket each.
