Three Bangladeshi cricketers have got a chance in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). Although a rumor has been heard for a long time, whether they will be able to play the entire tournament! Now that rumor is going to be true. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will not issue clearance to the players for the entire season. BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon himself recently stated the matter.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Liton Kumar Das will play in this year’s IPL. Meanwhile, Shakib and Liton were bought by Kolkata Knight Riders from the auction. On the other hand, Mustafiz is retained by his previous team Delhi Capitals. All three are currently in a good rhythm. But since the national team is playing during the IPL, BCB wants them in the national team. As a result, these three cricket stars of Bangladesh are not playing for the entire duration of the IPL.

Talking to the media, Papon talked about the players playing in the IPL. He was also informed about the plan of the board. The BCB president said, “When the IPL will be held, we will have national team games. So we will want the players in the national team. Apart from the domestic game, we have no such plans. So Shakib, Liton will not be able to play the entire time of IPL. First the country, then other country’s league games. “

Although there are precedents of Bangladeshi cricketers taking leave from the national team to play in the IPL. Shakib and Mustafiz are regulars especially in this franchise-based T20 league. Both are important members of the national team. While the national team was playing earlier, the board allowed them to play in the IPL. Now Papan is not walking that way. However, these three stars of Team Bangladesh have not talked  about the matter. All three are currently busy with BPL.

While Shakib-Mustafiz is old, Liton will play for the first time in the IPL. For him, the thrill is a bit too much. Although the opener has previous experience of playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Currently Liton is in rhythm with the bat in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He want to take this form to the IPL. In a recent interview, Liton also talked about the IPL. He is hopeful of enriching himself by playing in this tournament.
