A few days ago, Rameez Raja was removed from the post of chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. He took over from former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. However, after the change of government, there have been many changes in the Pakistan Cricket Board. According to that source, Najam Shetty is now the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. However, after losing the position, Ramiz is making explosive comments one after another. This time, the former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board opened his mouth about the resignation of the team’s former coach Misbah-Walker.

Before the World Cup in 2021, Pakistan cricket team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis resigned suddenly. Later they said that the then-board chairman Ramiz Raja did not want Misbah ul Haque and Waqar Younis to be in charge. That is why they resigned before the World Cup. However, he claimed that Ramiz Raja had the right to remove them from duty.

In an interview, Ramiz Raja said, “Many were unhappy with the way Walker-Misbah worked in the team. But they were allowed to continue. They got a full salary from the board for two years. They were given full respect. But seeing their performance as chairman is what I am looking forward to.” fell under the responsibility. I had the right to remove them.”

Giving the example of Saqlain Mushtaq, Ramiz Raja said, “Still, Nazam Shetty’s board is talking about removing Saqlain Mushtaq and appointing Mickey Arthur as the head coach. The matter has been discussed for a long time. I have made an agreement with the coaches in such a way that the board gives someone a three-year responsibility. Don’t say goodbye.”

Ramiz Raja also said, “When Misbah-Waqar was in charge, Pakistan cricket had annual contracts. Their contracts did not get extended, so both of them would have left in January-February. For the good of the team, we brought in new management. It was not easy for us at all. . I played with Walker. Talked to him about the whole thing. Told him my plan. Even though I didn’t talk to Misbah, the CEO talked to him.”

However, Ramiz Raja also admitted that the change of coach was noticeable before the World Cup. He said, “The World Cup is an important thing. There is a separate preparation. But it is true that it does not look good to change the coach before the start of the World Cup. But it had to be done for some reason. But I had an idea. That’s why there is only a certain phase with them. It could have gone up to. When I was commentating, I realized that a change was needed. I brought the change for the good of Pakistan cricket.”

It is to be noted that match-fixing allegations were raised against Wasim Akram and Waqar Yunus. Akram was also dropped from the team and even stripped of the captaincy. The former chairman also commented that if Ramiz Raja had the power to decide, he would have banned them for life. Meanwhile, the controversy in Pakistan cricket is increasing with Ramiz Raja’s comments. However, Misbah or Walker did not open their mouths in this context.
