PAK vs BAN (Match 41) – Highlights

Pakistan and Bangladesh faced off in the 41st match of the T20 World Cup on Sunday. In that match, Shakib Al Hasan’s team made a small capital by going to bat first. But chasing that target, Pakistan reached the target before the allotted 20 overs were over. On the other hand, Pakistan entered the semi-finals with India and Bangladesh left the World Cup. Apart from this, Shaheen Afridi won the man of the match title by bowling brilliantly for Pakistan.

The end was not like the beginning. The way Liton Das, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, and Soumya Sarkar started, or the way Bangladesh played the first 10 overs, the end was not like that. Bangladesh’s run should have been 150, But Bangladesh stopped at 127 after losing 8 wickets.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat at the Adelaide Oval. Liton Das left the field first. Scored 10 runs off 8 balls. After that, no more wickets fell within 10 overs, Bangladesh’s run was 70 with the loss of 1 wicket in 10 overs. A water break is given at that time. Then everything changed.

Shadab Khan picked up two wickets in two consecutive balls in the 11th over. Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hasan. Soumya Sarkar was caught by Shan Masood off shadab khans’ ball. He got out after scoring 20 runs off 17 balls. After Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan was the victim of a controversial lbw dismissal. After that, Bangladesh went completely on the back foot.

Another batsman departed after Shakib. Nazmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for 54 off 48 balls. He hit 7 boundaries. After Shanto got out Mosaddek Hossain 5, Nurul Hasan Sohan 0, Taskin Ahmed 1, and Nasum Ahmed 7 got out. Afif Hossain Dhrubo remained unbeaten on 24 runs off 20 balls.

Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled the best of his T20 career. He took 4 wickets with 22 runs in 4 overs. Shadab Khan took 2 wickets and Haris Rauf and Iftikhar Ahmed took 1 wicket each.

After going down to bat with a target of 128 runs, Pakistan batted very calculatedly due to some fielding misses and won by 5 wickets.

The goal to win was very simple. The pair Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan won such matches without losing any wickets. However, Mohammad Rizwan caught off Taskin’s ball behind the wicket in the first over. But Nurul Hasan Sohan could not catch the ball in his palm.

That Rizwan got out after scoring 32 runs off 32 balls. Pakistan scored 57 runs in the opening pair. Babar Azam got out after scoring 25 runs off 33 balls. Mohammad Nawaz came to bat in one down. He was run out on the field. Made only 4 runs.

Mohammad Haris made a small storm of 18 balls. He scored 31 runs. He departed after a caught out by Nasum Ahmed off Shakib’s ball. Iftikhar Ahmed got out after scoring 1 run. Besides, Shan Masood remained unbeaten with 24 runs off 14 balls. In the end, they left the field with a victory with 11 runs extra.
