Miraz excited to receive the ICC cap of the year

Mehdi Hasan Miraz has been an integral part of the Bangladesh team for the past few years. Meanwhile, the year 2022 was spent like a dream. This young all-rounder has played his best cricket especially in ODI cricket. Therefore, Miraz has got place in the ICC ODI Team of the Year. Also received cap of the player of the year award. And wearing the cap, this all-rounder of Team Bangladesh was seen to be very excited.

As per the routine, Bangladesh did team practice on Monday. Ahead of the bilateral series against England, the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium is in a festive mood. Miraz’s photo session with the cap of the year took a new dimension to that mood. But he is not alone, he also did a photo session with his teammates with the cap. Miraz is seen flanked by ODI captain Tamim Iqbal and others.

Miraz shared two pictures taken at the Home of Cricket on his official Facebook page. The Tiger all-rounder captioned the photo, “Alhamdulillah. Finally got the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year cap today.” Fans are congratulating him on such an achievement. However, Miraz is the only Bangladeshi cricketer who got a chance in the ICC Team of the Year in 2022.

In 2022, Miraz performed evenly with bat and ball. Besides taking 24 wickets in 15 ODIs, he scored 330 runs. However, several match-winning performances helped him earn a place in the Team of the Year. With incredible batting, won the match against Afghanistan. Going against the tide against India at the end of the year, scoring a match-winning century enriched his career.

However, the success of winning the ICC Player of the Year for the first time has increased Miraz’s responsibilities. The expectations of the team are high from him now. The first challenge for the Tigers in the new year is the England series. Miraz has also prepared himself to fight this series at home.
