Virat Kohli is always at the top of the discussion due to his excellent performances. Sometimes he was criticized. Now India’s former fielding coach Sridhar revealed an explosive matter about this Indian run machine. The secret of what Kohli did with Dhoni to get power was revealed in the book written by Sridhar. Indian cricket has been in turmoil since then.

In 2014, Mahendra Singh Dhoni bid farewell to red ball cricket. After that, Virat Kohli came in charge of this format of cricket. Sridhar’s book, which he wrote about Indian cricket on his own time, claims that Kohli became greedy for power after getting the captaincy in one format. He even became desperate to get the captaincy in all formats in a very short period of time.

Sridhar’s book is titled ‘Coaching Beyond – My Days with Indian Cricket Team’. Although he did not write this book himself. And Kaushik wrote the book in his words. According to the source of his book, after two years of leading the red ball, Kohli rose to lead the white ball cricket as well. Sridhar wrote in his book, “In 2016, Virat Kohli was pushing for leadership in white-ball cricket. He said things that made it clear that he wanted the captaincy in all formats.”

However, this issue of Kohli was handled very well by the then coach Ravi Shastri – such information is also available in that book. The book reads, “Ravi Shastri told him look Virat, you focus on playing for now. Dhoni has given you the lead in the red ball, you just think about it now. You should respect him, be aware of your game. At the right time, he will give you the captaincy of white ball. Don’t worry about it. If you don’t respect Dhoni now, then when you become the captain, the rest of the team won’t respect you either. Anyway, you should respect Dhoni. Don’t run after leadership, if you play well, it will come to you automatically.”

In fact, Kohli had a very good relationship with Ravi Shastri. Even after Kohli took over the leadership, Anil Kumble was replaced by Shastri as the coach. Kohli also stepped down from T20 leadership after Shastri stepped down as coach. In 2017, Kohli got responsibility in all formats of cricket. However, he was later dropped from Tests and ODIs as well after he withdrew from T20. However, Kohli and Dhoni did not open up about this topic in Sridhar’s book. However, the issue is going on in the cricket world.
