Jyoti wants to play in the World Cup semi-finals

বিশ্বকাপের সেমিফাইনালে খেলতে চান জ্যোতিরা

In the history of the Women’s T20 World Cup, Bangladesh’s record is not very good. Jahanara Alam and Salma Khatuns did not see any victory in the last three seasons. Two home wins in 2014 are Bangladesh’s best achievements to date. The Tigresses went to play this World Cup with that disappointment. The opening campaign of the World Cup was not good for them. Bangladesh women’s cricket team lost in the first match. But Bangladesh wants to overcome the failure and stand again. The Bangladesh team wants to play in the semi-final of this World Cup.

Before going to play this World Cup in South Africa, Bangladesh has shown great skill with bat and ball. They defeated all the teams in the qualifiers and became champions. Though Nigar Sultana Jyoti’s team was unable to sustain that winning streak. By playing shaky cricket in the preparation match, they have damaged their morale. However, the women’s cricket team wants to go ahead with a plan for the World Cup. Bangladesh’s team wants to win one match at a time.

Talking about their goals in the World Cup, Jyoti said, “We won in 2014. Since then, winning is like a golden deer. That’s why we have set a goal this time. First, we want to win one match. From there, we will try to move forward by maintaining the winning streak. But if we talk about the goal, we come here with full confidence to play in the semi-finals.”

Jyoti considers every match important in the World Cup. However, the Bangladesh captain said that they can fight against any team. In this context, Jyoti also said, “We have come to play the World Cup as champions in the qualifiers. We know that we are playing against many big teams. But we can beat any team. We will play to win.”

However, Jyoti thinks that only their playing is not enough. His request to the fans, everyone should give strong support. Because, in a big event like the World Cup, audience support also plays a big role. In that case, as much as the men’s party gets support, the women’s party much less. Forgetting these differences, Jyoti asked everyone to love cricket to bring honor to the country. Let’s see how successful they can be after losing the first match.
