Joy-Shariful are going to be the future legend

Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Shariful Islam are two of Bangladesh’s U-19 World Cup heroes in 2020. Joy led the team from the front with the bat. On the other hand, Shariful was the main weapon in bowling. They have been enjoying star fame since the Youth World Cup. According to Naveed Newaz, the head coach of the World Cup-winning team, Joy and Shariful will be the legends of Bangladesh in future.

The two young World Cup winners are already wearing national team jerseys, and they are on a mission to fight for red and green in world cricket. Shariful has played in three editions, and the left-arm fast bowler is also becoming essential in red-ball cricket and the white ball. Not to mention Shariful’s bowling; he will be a long racehorse in Tiger cricket.

Joy has a lot of responsibility. Bangladesh has not been able to find a suitable partner for Tamim Iqbal for a long time. This time in the opening, Joy has removed the worries of the selectors. The young batsman has recently become a symbol of confidence in white-jersey cricket. He has played 4 Tests in the country and has scored 225 runs with 1 century and 1 fifty.

Naveed praised these two essential members of the current Bangladesh team. “They (Joy and Shariful) have enough skills to handle any situation,” he said. “It doesn’t matter if I stay or not. They have had success in international cricket. They will have to adapt to different countries in the future. Hopefully, one day they will be the legends of Bangladesh cricket. “

Meanwhile, after several years, the former head coach of the Bangladesh youth team became the assistant coach of the Sri Lanka national team. Naveed said that he enjoyed working in Bangladesh. At the same time, the Sri Lankan coach is very happy to be back in the country after 4 long years.

In this context, Naveed said, being able to return to the country is a good thing for me. I have enjoyed 4 long years in Bangladesh. “I think I could give something to Bangladesh. But I am happy to be back home. “
