If the salary is not reduced, Najam Shetty orders to quit

Najam Shetty has replaced Ramiz Raja as the new chairman of PCB. The newly appointed chairman brought several changes after taking charge. He brought changes in various places starting from the selection committee. Sethi also talked about reducing the salary of board officials. And if that is not possible, the new chairman is also ordered to leave the job.

According to Pakistan media sources, Najam Shetty was surprised to see the monthly salary of Pakistan Cricket Board officials. Sethi started working in this regard after getting the responsibility of the board. According to the new board chief, the coffers of the Pak Board will be empty if the board officials are not cut this huge salary. So Sethi said to reduce the salary of officials.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Faisal Hasnain’s monthly salary is around 2.6 million Pakistani rupees. Najam Shetty has said that his salary will be reduced by 40 per cent. He also said that he would quit his job if he did not agree to reduce the salary.

A few more officials of PCB have been told about salary reduction. If these highly paid officials do not take 30 to 40 per cent less salary, then Sethi has asked them to quit their jobs. And gave them a week to make this decision. And if he quits his job, he will be paid three months’ salary, said the cricket board led by Shetty.

A few more members of the Pakistan Cricket Board are at risk. Chief Finance Officer Javed Murtaza’s monthly salary is 14 lacks 12 thousand 980 rupees. The salary of High-Performance Director Nadeem Khan is 14 lacks 72 thousand 500, International Cricket Operations Director Zakir Khan 9 lakh 61 thousand 663, and Media and Communication Director Sami Ul Hasan 13 lakh 93 thousand 999 rupees. There is no CEO post in the Pakistan Cricket Board as per the 2014 constitution. However, last year, Hasnain, the chief financial officer at ICC, was made the CEO of the Pakistan Board. His salary is 25 lakh 93 thousand 750 Pakistani rupees per month.

Sethi has planned to arrange everything after getting the responsibility. In the meantime, the war of words with former board chief Ramiz Raja has accumulated. Shetty also alleged that Ramiz and Imran Khan had destroyed the Pakistan Cricket Board. On the other hand, Ramiz alleged that Sethi was made the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board by removing Ramiz for political reasons.
