Herath opened up about Bangladesh's World Cup preparations

Bangladesh cricket team is entering the field again after the Asia Cup. The team management is preparing the team for the World Cup. Many have already been dropped from the Asia Cup squad. There has also been a change in the coaching staff. Bangladesh cricket team is in UAE to prepare themselves ahead of T20 World Cup. The Tigers will play two T20 series against the Emirates there.

The first match of this T20 series will be held in Dubai on September 25 and the second match will be held on September 27 after a one-day break. However, the team’s spin bowling coach Rangana Herath expressed satisfaction with their preparation in the desert country.

Rangana Herath talked about their preparation through a video message sent by BCB. He said, “ One of the best facilities we have had and we also had the same facility during the Asia Cup. As far as team unity is concerned, this is the best preparation. I believe this is the best preparation for us before the World Cup. The two matches that are scheduled, I believe the boys will take that opportunity. “

However, all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan is not with the team. He is currently in the West Indies to play in the Caribbean Premier League. Herath said in this regard, I know unfortunately Shakib is not here but the other guys will get the opportunity to play good cricket.”

He added, “ UAE is playing good cricket at the moment so this is going to be a good series and good preparation leading up to the World Cup. In this camp, we need proper practice with our team just ahead of a World Cup. It is very important to have training sessions as a team and I’m sure the guys will get a lot of good practice on these surfaces under lights.”

From Dubai, Bangladesh will then go to New Zealand to play the tri-nation series. Shakib and Co will play a tri-nation series with Pakistan and New Zealand there. After that, Bangladesh will go to play in the World Cup. This year’s T20 World Cup will begin on October 16. The Final will be held on November 13. Let’s see if Bangladesh can turn around in the World Cup after the failure of the Asia Cup.
