Hathurusingha, the head coach of Tigers, finally came to Dhaka

After Russell Domingo left responsibility, the question was who will be the head coach of the Bangladesh national team? The Bangladesh Cricket Board informed that the head coach of the Tigers will be available before the start of the England series. It was also reported from BCB that Hathurusingha is going to start the second chapter again. Finally, ending all the speculations, this Lankan coach stepped in Dhaka to perform the duties of the Tigers’ coach again.

Last February 20 at 10:26 PM Bangladesh time, Hathuru stepped into Dhaka on a Singapore Airlines flight. But he has no chance to take rest. He had a meeting with the Bangladesh Cricket Board on February 21. Hathurusingha will arrange his plans around Bangladesh after meeting with BCB official Head of Program David Moore and other coaching staff.

The England series will start next March. However, before that, the camp of the national team starting from February 22. And Hathurusingha has come to Dhaka to join the Tigers before this camp. Although there is a public holiday on February 21, some cricketers have practiced ahead of the England series. It is understood that the Tigers are entering the field with a lot of effort to make Hathurusingha’s plan successful.

Hathurusingha has been returned again in anticipation of the good performance of the Bangladesh cricket team’s Test and T-20 teams. He will be responsible for the cricketers of the Bangladesh team for the next two years. And Hathuru’s chapter in the second term begins with a white ball series against England. The Bangladesh team will play a three-match ODI and T20I series against the English from March 1. Notably in 2016, England was the only team to beat Bangladesh 2-1 in a three-match ODI series.

It should be noted that Hathuru first served Bangladesh team in 2014. He handled this responsibility from 2014 to 2017. Under his coaching, the Tigers became a strong team in ODI cricket. And this year the ODI World Cup is going to be held on Indian soil. Cricket fans hope that Hathuru’s journey will be good.
