Gavaskar in harsh criticism of Shakib

Shakib Al Hasan scored runs with the bat in the Chittagong Test. Scored 3 and 84 runs from two innings. But the Bangladesh captain could not maintain that rhythm in the Dhaka Test. The experienced all-rounder became a milk baby with the bat. Scored a total of 29 runs from two innings (16 and 13). Shakib’s lack of runs is a big loss for the team. So, his team had to suffer in Mirpur. In this situation, former legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar severely criticized Shakib.

Shakib’s lack of runs in the Dhaka Test against India, rather than the reason, is being criticized more for the way he got out. Shakib caught Umesh Yadav at mid-off in the first innings. In the second innings too, Jaydev Unadkat was caught by Shubman Gill. And that’s where the criticism begins. There is also the question of how an experienced cricketer like him can get out twice in the same way.

Former Indian star and commentator Sunil Gavaskar also criticized Shakib in such an outing. He said, “Shakib is quite an experienced cricketer. But he got out twice in Mirpur with the same type of ball. With all due respect to his batsmanship, the balls were in no way a drive. They were pace balls. Shakib made a mistake here.”

Of course, the comments of a cricket personality like Gavaskar are not at all inappropriate. What the Indian legend said on television, Shakib did on the field. Because of which he had to pay a big loss. There is no run next to his own name. Also did not benefit the team. Stars like Shakib, however, know how to correct mistakes. It remains to be seen whether they will keep things in mind in the future. However, as Bangladesh lost in the second Test too, Shakib’s style of dismissal is getting more criticism.

However, even if Shakib plays the Dhaka Test, there is no less discussion about whether he is fully fit or not. Shakib was very uncertain in the second test due to injury. Although the coach said that if Shakib can’t bowl, he wants Shakib to bat. Shakib bowled well but lost himself in batting.

The Bangladesh captain took a total of 6 wickets in two innings in the Dhaka Test. However, due to batting, he has to climb the ladder. On the other hand, as Bangladesh lost to India after a fierce fight, the batting failure of the Bangladesh batsmen was again pointed out.
