Pakistan won the ICC World Cup T20 earlier in 2009 and now is in the third position of the T20I rankings. There are possibilities of playing well for the Men in Green in the upcoming prestigious tournament in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
However, Babar Azam and Co. are going to face a hard challenge from the three opponents that they are going to meet in the Super 12 round. They will find India, New Zealand, and Afghanistan in the Group 2 games as their opponents. Two more teams from the first round are going to join them as well in Group 2.
Pakistan has never been successful in defeating India in any ICC T20 World cup game. The Kiwis have defeated Pakistan by 22 runs in the last game they played against each other in the ICC World Cup T20 game. The game against Afghanistan will be undoubtedly crucial for Pakistan as well.
