BPL 2022 – Match 11 (Khulna Tigers vs Fortune Barishal)

Fortune Barisal won in the 11th match of BPL 2022 by 17 runs against Khulna Tigers on Saturday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram courtesy of the great spell Mehedi Hasan Rana. After losing the toss and batting first, Fortune lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored 141 runs.

Chris Gayle played the best innings of 45 off 34 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes for the Fortune. Besides, Towhid Hridoy scored 23 and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 19 runs. Thisara Perera, Farhad Reza and Kamrul Islam took two wickets each for the Tigers.

Chasing a challenging target of 142, the Tigers were bowled out for 124 with one over left in the innings by the decent bowling of the Fortune’s bowlers. Mushfiqur Rahim scored the highest 40 runs from 36 balls for the team. In addition, Yasir Ali scored 23 and Thisara Perera scored 19 runs. For the Fortune, young fast bowler Mehedi Hasan Rana took the maximum number of 4 wickets with 17 runs in 3 overs. Jake Lintott and Mujeeb Ur Rahman also took two wickets each.

After winning this match, Fortune Barisal has risen to 5th place in the points table. On the other hand, after losing, Khulna Tigers are now in 4th position in the points table.

BPL 2022 – Match 12 (Chattogram Challengers vs Sylhet Sunrisers)

In the second match of Saturday’s doubleheader in the BPL 2022, Chattogram Challengers have won by 16 runs against Sylhet Sunrisers thanks to a hat trick by Mrittunjoy Chowdhury at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. After losing the toss, the Challengers lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and collected a big score of 202 runs.

Will Jacks played a devastating inning of 52 off 19 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes for the Challengers. Besides, Benny Howell (41 off 21 balls) and Afif Hossain (36 off 26 balls) played two stormy innings. Ravi Bopara, Mosaddek Hossain, and Sohag Gazi took one wicket each for the Sunrisers.

Chasing the huge target of 203 runs, the Sunrisers lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and their innings stopped at 186 runs due to the controlled bowling of the Challengers’ bowlers. Opener Anamul Haque played the highest innings of 78 runs in 47 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. In addition, Colin Ingram scored 50, and Bopara scored 16 runs. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Challengers. Besides, Nasum Ahmed took 2 wickets and Mehidy Hasan took 1 wicket.

After winning this match, Chattogram Challengers has risen to the top of the points table. On the other hand, Sylhet Sunrisers are at the bottom of the points table after losing the match.

PSL 2022 – Match 3 (Multan Sultans vs Lahore Qalandars)

In the third PSL 2022, Multan Sultans got a great victory by 5 wickets with 2 balls in hand against Lahore Qalandars at Karachi National Stadium. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, Qalandars lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and collected a big score of 206 runs.

For the Qalandars, Fakhar Zaman played a devastating inning of 76 off 35 balls smashing 11 fours and 2 sixes. Besides, Kamran Ghulam scored 43 and Abdullah Shafique scored 24 runs. Imran Tahir, David Willey, and Ihsanullah took one wicket each for the Sultans.

Chasing a huge target of 207 runs, Sultans lost 5 wickets and reached the victory port in 19.4 overs. Shan Masood played a stormy inning of 83 runs from 50 balls with 14 fours and 1 six for the team, and he was the top scorer for the Sultans on the day. In addition, captain Rizwan Ahmed played effective innings of 69 off 42 balls, and Sohaib Maqsood scored 20 off 17 balls. Shaheen Afridi took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Qalandars.

After winning this match, Multan Sultans rose to the top of the points table. On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars will get their first points in their upcoming game against Karachi Kings tonight.

PSL 2022 – Match 4 (Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators)

In the 4th match of the PSL 2022, Quetta Gladiators won the low-scoring match at the National Stadium in Karachi on Saturday with 25 balls to spare against the Karachi Kings courtesy of Naseem Shah’s Fifer. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, the Kings were bowled out for just 113 runs in 17.3 overs by the outstanding bowling of the Gladiators bowlers.

For the Kings, Babar Azam top-scored with 32 off 29 balls. Besides, Imad Wasim scored 26 and Aamer Yamin scored 20 runs. Naseem Shah took the highest number of 5 wickets for 20 runs in 3.3 overs for the Gladiators, and Sohail Tanvir also took 2 wickets. 

Chasing an easy target of 114 runs, the Gladiators lost just two wickets and secured the victory in 15.5 overs. Ahsan Ali played a great inning of 57 runs playing 43 balls for the team. Will Smeed (30) and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed (16) remained unbeaten to seal the triumph for the team. Mohammad Imran took 1 wicket for the Kings.  

Quetta Gladiators have risen to 2nd place in the points table after winning this match. On the other hand, Karachi Kings are at the bottom of the points table after losing.
