BBL 2021/22 – Match 20 (Sydney Thunder vs Sydney Sixers)

Sydney Sixers have picked up a 30-run victory over the Sydney Thunder at the Sydney Showground Stadium in the rain-interrupted 20th match of BBL 2021/22. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, they lost 4 wickets in 16 overs and scored 168 runs, the first innings of the Sixers were stopped due to rain then.

For the Sixers, Daniel Hughes played a devastating inning of 50 off 26 balls. In addition, Daniel Christian remained unbeaten with playing a stormy inning of 41 runs from 17 balls hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, For the Thunder. Daniel Sams took the maximum number of 2 wickets, and Chris Green and Saqib Mahmood took 1 wicket each.

As the rain disrupted the match, the Thunder got a target of 173 runs in 16 overs. But after coming down to chase this challenging target, the Thunder got all-out for 142 runs in the extraordinary bowling of the bowlers of the Sixers. Jason Sangha scored the best 47 runs from 30 balls for the team. Daniel Sams also played an innings of 28 off 11 balls. Hayden Kerr took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Sixers. BBL 2021/22 – Match 21 (Perth Scorchers vs Melbourne Renegades)

In the 21st match of BBL 2021/22, Perth Scorchers have got a huge victory of 8 wickets against Melbourne Renegades in the all-around performance of Mitchell Marsh at Marvel Stadium in Docklands. Renegades lost 8 wickets and scored 151 runs in 20 overs after winning the toss and batting first.

Mackenzie Harvey top-scored with 45 off 40 balls for the Renegades. Wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Harper scored 32 off 25 balls and Jack Prestwidge was unbeaten on 22 off 11 balls. Jason Behrendorff, Tymal Mills, and Ashton Agar took the maximum number of two wickets each for the Scorchers. Mitchell Marsh took 1 wicket.

Chasing the easy target of 152 runs, the Scorchers reached the target in 16.5 overs with losing only 2 wickets. For the team, Colin Munro hit an unbeaten 58 off 32 balls with six fours and two sixes. Mitchell Marsh also remained unbeaten on 42 off 33 balls. Zahir Khan and Nic Maddinson took one wicket each for the Renegades.

The Perth Scorchers are at the top of the points table with six wins in a row after winning this match. After losing, Melbourne Renegades are at the bottom of the points table.

SA vs IND (1st Test – Day 1)

India won the toss and elected to bat first in South Africa’s Centurion on the first day of the 1st Test, they ended the first day’s play with 272 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Right-arm opener KL Rahul hit a century, while another opener Mayank Agarwal hit a fifty. This is India’s third-highest collection on the first day of a Test match outside Asia.

Opener KL Rahul is the key player in this position of India. He is unbeaten on 122 making the seventh Test century of his career. Rahul became India’s second opener on South African soil with three figures. Facing 248 balls all day, he hit 17 fours and 1 six. This is his sixth century outside India.

Indian openers made a partnership of 117 runs. Lungi Ngidi sent off Mayank, who was playing well, to the dressing room for 60 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara was caught with the bat-pad just after the next ball. This is the second Golden Duck in his career.

Then Rahul and Virat Kohli made a pair of 82 runs. Lungi broke this pair also. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 35 runs. Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul did not allow further danger to happen. They left the field after adding 73 runs with an unbroken partnership. Rahane is unbeaten on 40 runs.
