In the 34th match of IPL 2021, Kolkata Knight Riders won by 7 wickets with 29 balls to spare against Mumbai Indians at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After losing the toss, the Indians batted first, they lost 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs to put up 155 runs on the board.

For the Indians, Quinton de Kock played the highest scoring innings of 55 from 42 balls. Besides, Rohit Sharma scored 33 and Kieron Pollard scored 21 runs. Lockie Ferguson and Prasidh Krishna took the maximum number of 2 wickets each for KKR. Besides, Sunil Narine took 1 wicket conceding 20 runs in 4 overs.

Chasing a challenging score of 156, KKR lost 3 wickets and reached the target in 15.1 overs. With 8 fours and 3 sixes, Rahul Tripathi played an unbeaten 74-run innings for the team facing 42 balls. Besides, Venkatesh Iyer played a stormy inning of 53 from 30 balls. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets for the Indians.

After winning this match, KKR has risen to the 4th position in the points table. On the other hand, the Indians are now down to 6th place in the points table after the defeat.
