ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 – Match 13 (Australia vs South Africa)

Australia has defeated South Africa by 5 wickets in the first match of the Super 12 in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After losing the toss and choosing to bat first, South Africa was able to score 118 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the outstanding bowling of Aussie bowlers.

Aiden Markram scored the best 40 runs off 36 balls for the team. Kagiso Rabada scored 19 and David Miller put up 16 runs. Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa, and Mitchell Starc took two wickets each for the Aussies. Pat Cummins and Glenn Maxwell also took one wicket.

Chasing an easy target of 119 runs, Australia was under pressure from the very beginning. They lost 3 wickets in 8 overs and could make only 39 runs. Steven Smith (35) and Glenn Maxwell (18) then brought the side back into the match with a pair of 42 runs for the 4th wicket. After their departure, the innings of Marcus Stoinis (24* off 16 balls) and Matthew Wade (15* off 10 balls) led the two Aussies to victory. Anrich Nortje took the maximum number of 2 wickets for the Proteas.

After winning this match, Australia is in 2nd place in the points table of Group 1 in Super 12. On the other hand, South Africa is in the 5th position in the points table after losing.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 – Match 14 (England vs West Indies)

In the 14th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, England have won the low-scoring match against the defending champions West Indies at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium by a huge margin of 6 wickets with 70 balls to spare. After losing the toss, the Caribbeans got bowled out for 55 in 14.2 overs by the brilliant bowling of English bowlers.

Chris Gayle top-scored for the West Indies with 13 off 13 balls. Besides, no other batsman could make double digits for the Caribbeans. Adil Rashid took the highest number of 4 wickets for England. Besides, Moeen Ali and Tymal Mills took 2 wickets each, Chris Jordan and Chris Woakes took 1 wicket each.

Chasing an easy target of 56 runs, England reached the target in 8.2 overs losing 4 wickets. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler played the highest innings of 24 off 22 balls remaining unbeaten for the team. Besides, Jason Roy scored 11 runs off 10 balls. Akeal Hosein took 2 wickets and Ravi Rampaul took 1 wicket each for the Caribbeans.

After winning this match, England is at the top of the points table of Group 1 in Super 12. On the other hand, the defeated West Indies are at the bottom of the points table.
