IPL 2021 – Match 30 (Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians)

Chennai Super Kings has defeated Mumbai Indians by 20 runs in the opening match of the second leg of IPL 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium. After winning the toss and coming down to bat first, Super Kings scored 156 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs courtesy of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s adventurous innings.

Gaikwad played an innings of 88 runs playing 58 balls smashing 9 fours and 4 sixes for the Super Kings. Besides, Ravindra Jadeja scored 26 and Dwayne Bravo 23 runs. For the Indians, Adam Milne, Jasprit Bumrah, and Trent Boult took the maximum number of two wickets each.

While the Indians came down to chase the target of 157 runs, the opposition’s bowlers Deepak Chahar and Dwayne Bravo bowled brilliantly and the Indians’ innings came to a halt at 136 losing eight wickets. Saurabh Tiwary played the highest innings of 50 runs remaining unbeaten for the team. For Super Kings, Bravo took the maximum number of 3 wickets and Chahar took 2 wickets.

After winning this match, Super Kings has risen to the top of the points table. On the other hand, after losing, Indians are in the fourth position in the points table.
