Go through the article to know the reason behind the cancellation of the Pakistan-New Zealand series.

PAK vs NZ (1st ODI)

The ODI and T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand was cancelled just before the start of the match. The first ODI of the series was scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi yesterday. But the toss did not happen at the appointed time. The players were not seen on the field. New Zealand Cricket has announced that its tour of Pakistan has been cancelled due to security concerns. Their cricketers will leave Pakistan soon.

The decision was taken by the New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) alone. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said this in a statement. The NZC said that it was aware of security threats to Pakistan from the government and that it was not possible to continue the tour.

After a long 18 years, the New Zealand cricket team visited Pakistan. The Black Caps were scheduled to play 3 ODIs and 5 T20I matches in this tour. After New Zealand, England was also scheduled to visit Pakistan. However, after New Zealand’s sudden decision, the organization of international cricket in Pakistan has been threatened again.

The series between Pakistan-New Zealand has been called off over security alerts. As many more cricket actions come up, stay with Baji!
