The 25th match of the CPL 2021 between Saint Lucia Kings and Barbados Royals, the 26th match of the CPL 2021 between Jamaica Tallawahs and Guyana Amazon Warriors, the 27th match of the CPL 2021 between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots rolled on the field yesterday and today morning. CPL 2021 – Match 25 (Saint Lucia Kings vs Barbados Royals)

Saint Lucia Kings have won by 14 runs against Barbados Royals in the rain-interrupted CPL’s 25th match. After losing the toss and batting first, the Kings lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 175 runs. In 5 fours and 4 sixes, captain Faf du Plessis played an innings of 84 runs off 54 balls for the team. Mohammad Amir took the maximum number of 2 wickets for the Royals.

Rain interrupted the match before the start of the second innings. As a result, the Royals got a target of 170 runs in 19 overs. The Royals got off to a good start after starting to chase this total. At the end of 8 overs, they lost only 1 wicket and took 72 runs. But the Royals lost 3 wickets in the 9th over which was bowled by David Wiese and dropped out of the match. Later no other batsman could bring them back to the match. The Royals lost 8 wickets in 19 overs and ended the innings at 155 runs.

Captain Jason Holder scored the highest 34 runs for the Royals. Shai Hope scored 31 runs, Johnson Charles and Hayden Walsh both played innings of 30 runs each. David Wiese took the highest number of 5 wickets for the Kings conceding 25 runs in 4 overs. The Kings are fourth in the points table after winning this match and the Royals are still at the bottom of the points table after losing.

CPL 2021 – Match 26 (Jamaica Tallawahs vs Guyana Amazon Warriors)

In the 26th match of CPL, Guyana Amazon Warriors have defeated Jamaica Tallawahs by a margin of 46 runs. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Warriors lost 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and scored 169 runs. In 4 fours and 7 sixes, the captain Nicholas Pooran played unbeaten innings of 75 playing 39 balls for the team. Besides, Shimron Hetmyer and Shoaib Malik both played two innings of 23 runs. Andre Russell took the most number of 2 wickets for Tallawahs.

Chasing the target of 170 runs, the batsmen of Tallawahs picked up 62 runs losing only 1 wicket in 8 overs. But then in the 9th over, Odean Smith’s double hunt knocked Tallawahs out of the match. With 5 balls left in the innings, Tallawahs’ innings came to a halt after being all-out for 123 runs. Kirk McKenzie scored the highest 28 runs for the team.

Odean Smith and Gudakesh Motie took the maximum number of 3 wickets each for the Warriors. Besides, Naveen-ul-Haq took 2 wickets. After winning this match, the Warriors have now risen to 3rd place in the points table and after losing, the Tallawahs are in 5th place.

CPL 2021 – Match 27 (Trinbago Knight Riders vs St Kitts & Nevis Patriots)

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have got a triumph over the Trinbago Knight Riders by 8 wickets in the 27th match of the CPL with a great century by Evin Lewis. After losing the toss, the Knight Riders batted first and lost 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs to collect a challenging score of 159 runs.

Colin Munro scored the highest 47 runs for his team. In the end, Sunil Narine played a stormy inning of 33 off 18 balls. For the Patriots, Jon-Russ Jaggesar and Dominic Drakes took the highest number of 3 wickets each.

Chasing the target of 160 runs, the Patriots lost 2 wickets in 14.4 overs and reached the verge of victory. With 5 fours and 11 sixes, Lewis played the best innings of 102 runs from 52 balls for the team. Chris Gayle also scored 35 off 18 balls. Kieron Pollard and Ali Khan took one wicket each for the Knight Riders.

The Patriots are top of the points table after winning this match and the Knight Riders are placed at second position in the points table after losing.
