PSL 2022 – Match 12 (Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars)

In the 12th match of PSL 2022, Lahore Qalandars got a great victory of 8 runs against Islamabad United at the National Stadium in Karachi. After losing the toss and getting to bat first, the Qalandars scored 174 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

For the Qalandars, Abdullah Shafique played a stormy inning of 44 off 24 balls with 6 fours and 1 six. Fakhar Zaman (38 off 27 balls) and Harry Brook (37 off 26 balls) also played two effective innings for the team as well. For the United, Shadab Khan and Waqas Maqsood took the maximum number of 4 wickets each, and Mubasir Khan took 1 wicket.

Chasing a challenging target of 175 runs, United’s innings came to a halt at 166 after losing 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to the controlled bowling of the Qalandars’ bowlers. Colin Munro played the highest innings of 60 runs playing 45 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes for the team, he remained unbeaten after playing this good innings. In addition, captain Shadab Khan scored 52 runs off 32 balls. Haris Rauf took the maximum number of 2 wickets for the Qalandars. Besides, Zaman Khan, Rashid Khan, and Shaheen Afridi took 1 wicket each.

After winning this match, Lahore Qalandars rose to 2nd place in the points table. On the other hand, Islamabad United is in the 3rd position on the points table after losing this match.

PSL 2022 – Match 13 (Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans)

In the 13th match of PSL 2022, Multan Sultans have picked up a big victory of 57 runs against Peshawar Zalmi courtesy of Mohammad Rizwan’s devastating innings at the National Stadium in Karachi. After losing the toss, the Sultans lost 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and collected a big score of 222 runs.

Rizwan top-scored with 82 off 53 balls smashing 8 fours and one six for the Sultans. Besides, Shan Masood scored 35 and Sohaib Maqsood scored 25 runs for the team. In the end, Tim David (51* off 19 balls) and Khushdil Shah (21* off 7 balls) left the field after playing two stormy innings. Shoaib Malik, Salman Irshad, and Usman Qadir took one wicket each for the Zalmi.

Chasing a huge target of 223 runs, Zalmi’s innings came to a halt at 165 after losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs due to a superb bowling performance by the Sultans’ bowlers. Ben Cutting played the highest innings of 52* off 31 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes for the team. In addition, Hazratullah Zazai scored 43 and Haider Ali scored 24 runs. Imran Tahir and Shahnawaz Dahani took the maximum number of 3 wickets each for the Sultans. Besides, Abbas Afridi and Blessing Muzarabani took one wicket each.

The Multan Sultans are at the top of the points table with five wins in a row, including this match. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi is in the 4th position on the points table after the debacle.
