The 15th match of the CPL 2021 between Saint Lucia Kings and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, the 16th match of the CPL 2021 between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Royals, and the 3rd day’s game of the 4th Test between England and India rolled on the field yesterday and today morning. CPL 2021 Match 15 (Saint Lucia Kings vs St Kitts and Nevis Patriots)

In the 15th match of the CPL, St. Lucia Kings got a huge victory of 100 runs against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots courtesy of the great century of Faf du Plessis. After losing the toss, the Kings lost 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 224 runs. Captain Plessis scored the highest for the team; he collected 120 runs off 60 balls with 13 fours and 5 sixes. Besides, Roston Chase played a stormy inning of 64 runs from 31 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes.

The Patriots’ batting line-up collapsed like a house of cards in the Kings’ great bowling after coming down to chase a huge target of 225 runs. As a result, the Patriots got all out for 124 runs with 19 balls left in the innings. Evin Lewis top-scored for the team with 73 off 42 balls hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes. No one could touch the double-digit score apart from Chris Gayle (14) and Sherfane Rutherford (11). Keemo Paul and Alzarri Joseph took the maximum number of 3 wickets for the Kings.

The Kings have risen to second place in the points table after winning the match and the Patriots are still in first place after losing.

CPL 2021 Match 16 (Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Barbados Royals)

In the 16th match of the CPL, Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 9 wickets against Barbados Royals with a great century by Chandrapaul Hemraj. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Royals lost all their wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 130 runs.

Azam Khan played the highest-scoring innings of 28 runs for the team. Johnson Charles scored 23, and Raymon Reifer and Shai Hope both scored 22 runs. Imran Tahir took a maximum number of 3 wickets for the Warriors. Romario Shepherd also took 2 wickets.

Chasing an easy target of 131 runs, the Warriors reached the brink of victory by losing 1 wicket in 14.2 overs. Hemraj played an innings of 105 runs off 56 balls smashing 14 fours and 5 sixes. Nyeem Young took 1 wicket for the Royals.

After winning this match, the Warriors have risen to the 3rd spot in the points table and after losing, the Royals are at the bottom of the points table.

ENG vs IND (4th Test – Day 3)

With Rohit Sharma’s remarkable century and Cheteshwar Pujara’s responsible batting, the visiting side, India is on their way to a big lead in the fourth Test against England. Rohit was dismissed for 127 runs. And Pujara returned to the pavilion after scoring 61 runs. India has scored 270 for 3 in the second innings till now.

In the meantime, Virat Kohli’s team has taken a lead of 171 runs, with 7 more wickets in hand. Rohit and KL Rahul put India on a strong footing with a great display of Test batting. James Anderson broke the opening partnership of 83 runs by sending off Rahul (46). After that, Pujara’s partnership with Rohit also solidified and the possibility of a big score arose for India.

Ollie Robinson sent off both of them in the same over after making a pair of 153 runs in the second wicket. However, India captain Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja did not allow any more wickets to fall down. Kohli ended the third day remaining unbeaten on 22 and Jadeja on 9.
