Cricket Free Tips | West Indies vs Australia, 2021: 1st ODI

West Indies will meet Australia in a three-match ODI series beginning on July 21st, after winning the T20 series 4-1. The West Indies’ last time played an ODI was in March when they thrashed Sri Lanka 3-0. Kieron Pollard has returned to the squad after missing the T20I series due to injury.

Meanwhile, Australia will be without captain Aaron Finch for the first ODI owing to a knee injury, and wicket-keeper batsman Alex Carey will lead the side in his place. They last played an ODI in December 2020, when they defeated India 2-1 to win the series. In the 50-over format, Australia is an entirely different team, and we can expect them to bounce back in this series.

Weather
Rain is probable before the game, but it is unlikely to rain throughout the game. The temperature will be around 28 degrees Celsius, with humidity ranging from the 70s to the 80s.

Pitch
Barbados has hosted 39 One-Day Internationals since 1985, with the track being primarily batting friendly. At the stadium, the average score in all ODIs is 250. The side batting second has won 22 games, thus chasing in the forthcoming match should be the preferable option.
