Covid cases in KKR contingent, KKR-RCB battle rescheduled

The Indian Premier League (IPL) might have immersed itself into a crisis. The 30th IPL match of the season between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore has been rescheduled. Two players from Kolkata Knight Riders have been tested positive for COVID-19.

The infected players are mysterious spinner Varun Chakravarthy and pacer Sandeep Warrier. They might have got infected when they had gone out for scans for injuries. The rest of the players have been tested negative as per recent news. The BCCI is going to announce this soon.

The venue of Monday’s game was Ahmedabad and some instruction might have gone from the BCCI office to Ahmedabad regarding this. The local organizers, Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) have been told that the match will be rescheduled and the new date for the match will be announced on Monday afternoon.

Royals Challengers Bangalore are in 3rd place with 10 points playing 7 games while Kolkata Knight Riders are in the 7th position with 2 wins taking part in the same number of games.
