The name of this biopic on the world’s fastest pacer Shoaib Akhtar is ‘Rawalpindi Express. And it is known through a report in the Urdu version of Pakistani media Dawn of Umair Jalswal’s performance.
Moreover, Umai himself also made a post on social media. He wrote there, “It is with great pleasure that I inform you all that I am going to play the role of Shoaib Akhtar on screen in the movie ‘Rawalpindi Express.”
He also wrote, “By the grace of the almighty we may succeed in our journey and present you with a film that is universally acceptable.”
Biopics have been made on many legendary cricketers before. ‘MS Dhoni The Untold Story’ is based on Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This biopic on Shoaib Akhtar is slated to release in late 2023.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of excitement among cricket lovers around this biopic. It is believed that many undisclosed incidents of Shoaib’s life will come up in the biopic. However, Shoaib has not yet opened up in this context.
