Ambrose is worried about emerging pacers in BPL

বিপিএলে উঠতি পেসারদের নিয়ে চিন্তিত অ্যামব্রোস

In this edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the most surprising thing is the speed of the pacers. Many are bowling at a speed of more than 145 kilometers per hour. Where they have speed in slower deliveries too, 140 to 142 kilometers per hour. But beyond that, experienced cricketers like Mashrafe Bin Mortaza are still among the best. However, the performance of the emerging pacers is not giving much satisfaction to the former West Indies legendary pacer Curtly Ambrose.

Mashrafe’s name is at the top of the list of wicket takers in this year’s BPL so far. But the Sylhet Strikers captain did not play in the national team for many years. The age is more than three decades. Among them, the injury problem is always with him. The young pacers of the BPL are struggling to beat Mashrafe. Many people do not see a good future in such performances of young people.

Ambrose has come to commentate on the tournament. The former West Indies pacer is watching the Bangladeshi pacers. Naturally, everyone is interested in whom they are seeing. Ambrose also expressed his opinion midway through the tournament. According to him, apart from Taskin Ahmed, he has seen a few other pacers. But he is reluctant to say anything now.

However, there is relief in the midst of so many worries, there are five Bangladeshis in the list of top ten bowlers. But what worries Ambrose is the fact that old players like Mashrafe are at their best in a crowd of so many youngsters. Ambrose said, “I see a few people here with good speed. But Mashrafe’s reign over everyone, definitely sends a message. Taskin is a good quality pacer. Nothing can be said for now.”

Meanwhile, there are doubts and skepticism in the discussion about speed in BPL. Many people are raising questions about the speedometer. Experienced pacer Rubel Hossain also said that the speedometer may be wrong. However, he sees the issue of speed as positive. Recently, Rubel also touched the milestone of 100 wickets in the history of BPL. Only Shakib Al Hasan has done that before him.
