IPL 2026, Match 38 – Predicted KKR XI vs LSG

IPL 2026, Match 38 - Predicted KKR XI vs LSG

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) square off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match No. 38 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 26.

Both teams desperately need wins in IPL 2026. While Lucknow are placed ninth on the points table, Kolkata find themselves languishing at the bottom.
Rishabh Pant and Co. have two wins from seven matches. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane’s Knights ended their winless streak in the last game by defeating the Rajasthan Royals.

KKR Predicted Playing XI vs LSG, Match 38, IPL 2026

Top-order: Ajinkya Rahane (C), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (WK), Cameron Green

Ajinkya Rahane has scored 152 runs in seven innings at an average of 25.33 and a strike rate of 144.77. Angkrish Raghuvanshi started the campaign with back-to-back fifties, but in recent matches, he has looked a bit off colour. Cameron Green had a tough start to his career at the Knight Riders, failing to live up to his potential in the first few games. However, in the last two matches, he has shown signs of returning to form.

Middle-order: Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, Ramandeep Singh, Anukul Roy

Rinku Singh is another player who was struggling, but he would be high on confidence at the moment, having scored a match-winning half-century in the last match. Rovman Powell has not had a big knock under his belt yet, but has made small contributions. Ramandeep Singh also needs to come good with the bat as the KKR management has backed him for quite some time now. Anukul Roy partnered with Rinku to take KKR home in the last game.

Bowlers: Sunil Narine, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy, Matheesha Pathirana

Sunil Narine has been the epitome of consistency with the ball. He has bagged six wickets in six games, and his economy rate is a mind-boggling 6.83. Vaibhav Arora has not been at his best. KKR would hope that he hits his straps heading into the business end of the tournament.

Varun Chakaravarthy was being hit all around the park in the first few games. However, after returning from an injury, he has looked much better. Matheesha Pathirana is expected to play his first game of the season on Sunday. It will be interesting to see how he bowls after recovering from the injury he sustained during the T20 World Cup 2026.

KKR Predicted XI:

Ajinkya Rahane (C), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (WK), Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, Ramandeep Singh, Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy, Matheesha Pathirana.

Impact Player: Kartik Tyagi
