Board meeting with Rohit – Kohli right after the Bangladesh series

বাংলাদেশ সিরিজের পরেই রোহিত - কোহলিদের সঙ্গে বোর্ডের বৈঠক

India has failed in two consecutive T20 World Cups. Farewell from the group stage in 2021, but from the semi-finals in 2022. However, after the embarrassing loss of 10 wickets to England, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) is shaken. The BCCI wants to hold a meeting with captains, coaches and senior players after the World Cup to find out the reasons for such failure.

But due to the busyness of some board officers, that meeting has not been held yet. In the meantime, the Indian team lost in the ODI series after visiting Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli have won the series with excellent performances in the first two matches of the ODI series. And that’s when the BCCI moved again regarding the meeting. After returning from Bangladesh, the board officials will sit with the captain and coach.

However, not only Rohit and Rahul Dravid will be present in the meeting. Indian National Cricket Academy chief VVS Laxman will also be with Kohli. The reason for this meeting is that the BCCI is very worried about the current performance of the team. On the other hand, ODI World Cup at home in 2023. This superpower of cricket has no choice but to win the title there.

India has not been successful in ICC tournaments for many years. The latest success came at the hands of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. India won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. The rest is just a story of disappointment. Since then, India’s run has reached the semi-finals. Far from taking home the title, the Indians failed to reach the final for once. Due to which Rohit-Kohli is being criticized.

To overcome the failures of the Indian team and touch the success, many are giving different suggestions. One of which is the captain change. Many experts and former cricketers want the leadership of India to rise on the shoulders of Hardik Pardia. Of course it is in T20 format. Many cricket experts want Rohit to continue leading ODIs. According to many, India will face success if separate teams are formed in the three editions. But after the meeting it can be understood which way Indian cricket will walk.
