3 changes India would like to make for the 4th Test against Australia

After an abrupt draw due to weather conditions in the 3rd test match between India and Australia, both teams are now standing as equals. The first match saw India take an incredible victory, but the Aussies were also not going to make things easy as they took test 2 with a ten-wicket victory.

However, the Indian cricket team was hit with a surprise retirement from Ravichandran Ashwin. Over the years, Ashwin has been the star spinner and his departure will bring changes to the team. However, it remains to be seen if the changes will have a positive effect on the team in the upcoming matches. Today, we will be exploring 3 changes that the Indian cricket team can make in the upcoming 4th test match against Australia.

Here are 3 changes that can be viable for the 4th Test against Australia:

It is no surprise that Rohit Sharma will likely be the best option as an opener with his track record. While Sharma has previously talked that he will not open, but the team definitely needs him. Paired with Jaiswal India can go for the OG and young blood. Jaiswal has also not been in form

While KL Rahul have been a decent opener, moving him into number 3 is the only reasonable thing to do if Rohit Sharma is moved to the opening position. Rahul’s performance in the recent matches have been great and we have seen him scoring runs in any batting order.

Sarfaraz Khan can replace Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill hasn’t been in form and likely to be benched in the upcoming match, however, the question remains who will replace him. Sarfaraz Khan is a viable choice as his replacement. His performance in the domestic cricket has been quite impressive, and it’s time he once again proved himself. If not Sarfaraz, Devdutt Padikkal can also be one of the players.
