Kohli considers Babar the best in all three formats

At one time he was India’s run machine. But he also saw the other side of the coin in his career. It has been more than a thousand days since Virat Kohli did not score a century. But in a short time, the former Indian captain became the owner of 70 centuries. With his bat, there was a possibility of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket. But in recent performances, that chance is pretty uncertain!

But the throne remains never empty, Babar Azam reigning during Kohli’s off-form. Especially in the last few years, the Pakistani captain’s bat has become irresistible. Many are even comparing Babar with Kohli. But without going to that comparison, Kohli himself believes that Babar is the best batsman of the time.

While evaluating the players in an interview given to Star Sports while playing the Asia Cup recently, Kohli said, ”Babar is probably the top batsman in all three formats at the moment. He is performing consistently. He is a very talented batsman and I always love watching his batting.”

Praising Babar’s gentleness despite his good performances, Kohli said, ‘The respect I saw in him from day one has not been changed a bit. Now by performing well he (Babar) has created a separate place for himself. Still, he hasn’t changed a bit. The respectful attitude towards me has not decreased. ”

In this year’s Asia Cup, after 5 long months, against Hong Kong Kohli got half century. Showed glimpses of return to form. Much of India’s success or failure depends on his bat. India will face Pakistan again in the Asia Cup on September 4. On this day, cricket fans are ready to see another fight within the fight. Whose bat will shine on that day? Kohli or Babar? The answer will be found in 22 yards of the field.
