The Tigers to tour the Proteas for ODI and Test bilateral series in March-April

The Bangladesh cricket team will travel to South Africa in March to play 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches. The tour of the Bangladesh cricket team against the Proteas will start with an ODI match on March 18. The 2nd and 3rd ODIs will be held on March 20 and March 23 respectively.

The two-match Test series will kick off on March 31. The first test will end on April 4 and the second test will start on April 8 and end on April 12.

These 2-format series between Bangladesh and South Africa will be held at a total of four venues. The first and last day-night ODIs will be played at SuperSport Park in Centurion. The second ODI  match will be played at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. Then the first Test of the series will be played at Kingsmead in Durban and the last Test will be played at St George’s Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha.

The series between Bangladesh and South Africa is going to be held according to the ICC Future Tour Program (FTP). Not only that, ODI and Test series – these two formats will be as part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and the ICC World Test Championship as well.

Bangladesh is currently ranked second in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League with 80 points. They also have a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan at home before the tour of South Africa. South Africa, meanwhile, is in 10th place with 39 points from 10 matches with three wins.

South Africa is currently at the fourth position in the points table of the ICC World Test Championship after a 2-1 win over India. Bangladesh is in seventh place with just one victory in their 4 Test matches in this cycle thus far.

1st ODI – March 18, SuperSport Park (Centurion), 17:00 (GMT +6)
2nd ODI – March 20, Wanderers (Johannesburg), 14:00 (GMT +6)
3rd ODI – March 23, SuperSport Park (Centurion), 17:00 (GMT +6)

Test series schedule:
1st Test – 31 March – 04 April, Kingsmead (Durban), 14:00 (GMT +6)
2nd Test – 8-12 April, St George’s Park Cricket Ground (Gqeberha), 14:00 (GMT +6)
