The Mumbai batters have not had a great start to the second half of the Ranji Trophy getting bowled out for only 120 runs. The bowler who has caused a lot of problems for them in the match between Mumbai and Jammu & Kashmir is the right-arm pacer, Umar Nazir.
The 31-year-old pacer has bowled a brilliant spell in the first innings ending with figures of 4/41 as he dismissed big international players in Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube during the match. This is perhaps one of the best spells from a bowler against one of the best teams in the tournament who have won the title 42 times.
Speaking of Umar Nazir, the 6’4” player was born in a small district in Pulwama which is situated in the disputed Kashmir region. He made his first-class debut in 2013 and List-A- A debut in 2014 for Jammu and Kashmir and has played a total of 57 first-class games and 36 List-A games and has a great record in the domestic scene playing for his state team with 138 wickets in the red ball format and 54 wickets in List-A wickets to his name.
