Star batter Virat Kohli has confirmed his availability for Delhi’s game against Railways in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25’s Round 7 face-off. Kohli will then shift his focus to the One-Day Internationals (ODIs) as the cricketer is set to participate in the three-match series against England, followed by the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.

In a bid to prepare himself ahead of a hectic season, Kohli was recently spotted in the outskirts of Mumbai to practice his batting ahead of the Ranji game. He will be playing his first domestic match in over twelve years, and his India teammate Rishabh Pant will also be taking part in the important fixture.

During his net sessions, the Delhi-born was spotted by some of his fans who had followed to watch their idol prepare ahead of the match-day. Kohli also acknowledged the love and affection shown by the fans. The 36-year-old not only gave autographs and selfies to the fans, but also gifted his batting gloves to one of the luckier ones present at the ground. The fan, awestruck by the gesture, wrote, “Thank you so much Virat sir for giving your gloves.”

Virat’s last Ranji Trophy match

The last Ranji Trophy match Virat Kohli played was more than a decade ago and was played between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh where Delhi was captained by Virender Sehwag and the Uttar Pradesh team was led by Suresh Raina who were both active members of the Indian team at the time.
