The ongoing Champions Trophy semi-final clash between India and Australia has turned into another interesting match as both teams are playing to confirm their berth in the finals. Australia, in their innings, put up a score of 264.

In the ongoing match vs Australia, Virat Kohli has been the star performer with the bat, playing an extraordinary knock that had the fans in awe. Kohli, in his typical aggressive yet controlled style, was leading the Indian innings and seemed to be heading towards another memorable century. However, his promising innings came to an abrupt end when he was dismissed for 84 runs. The bowler responsible for his dismissal was Adam Zampa, who had been introduced into the attack in the middle overs.

Kohli attempted to go for a maximum but instead got caught at long-on. The Australian fielders erupted in celebration as Kohli slowly walked off the field, visibly disappointed. His knock, though brilliant, ended short of a century, leaving many to wonder what could have been had he stayed longer at the crease.

KL Rahul, who was at the other end, reacted to Kohli’s dismissal in a rather candid and relatable manner. As Kohli walked back to the dressing room, Rahul then said to Kohli, “Mai maar raha tha yaar,” expressing his frustration at the situation. Rahul’s words reflected the collective feeling of Indian fans and teammates, who had seen Kohli in sublime touch and would have hoped he could have carried the team further with his partnership and got yet another century to his name.

Despite Kohli’s departure, his innings provided India with a strong platform to build on. It highlighted his exceptional form and skill, and his dismissal left the game finely poised, with India needing to recover quickly and capitalize on the momentum he had built. Rahul’s reaction showed the camaraderie and understanding that exists within the Indian dressing room, a bond that keeps the team spirit high even in moments of disappointment.
