[Watch] IPL 2025: Krunal Pandya dismisses PBKS openers in consecutive overs

Krunal Pandya got rid of both of Punjab Kings’ openers during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s ongoing clash at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 20. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh were the batters to depart in the fifth and seventh overs of the first innings, respectively.

The second delivery of Krunal’s spell produced Priyansh’s wicket. Coming from around, Krunal’s stock delivery slanted across the left-handed batter who was on the lookout of slogging across the line. The ball ended up slicing off the outside half of the bat to Tim David at mid-off.

The first ball of Krunal’s second over was again hit to David, this time at long-on. It was fired in full and straight by Krunal, and Prabhsimran, batting on 33, looked to launch the ball down the ground. However, he couuldn’t generate the required elevation as the tall Australian ended up reverse-cupping the ball.

Earlier in the afternoon, RCB won the toss and elected to field first. While Shreyas Iyer announced that the hosts would be going ahead with an unchanged XI, RCB brought in Romario Shepherd in place of the off-colour English all-rounder, Liam Livingstone.

The two sides clashed a couple of days earlier at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium when PBKS ended up clinching the rain-shortened game by five wickets and 11 deliveries to spare. David was awarded the Player of the Match in a losing cause for his unbeaten 50 off 26 in addition to two catches.
