The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is currently underway. Te 12th match of the tournament between Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans and Shaheen Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars featured a humorous moment that caught the attention of fans.

During the celebrations after the fall of a wicket, right-arm pacer Ubaid Shah unintentionally slapped wicketkeeper Usman Khan on his head while going for a high-five in his celebration. The incident left teammates in laughs even as Usman, clearly frustrated, sat down on the ground. Despite the mishap, it turned into a light-hearted moment during an intense game and high-scoring game.

Speaking of the proceedings, the Sultans clinched a commanding 33-run win over Qalandars to break a three-match losing streak.

After winning the toss, Multan Sultans elected to bat first and put up a massive total of 228 in 20 overs. Opener Yasir Khan was the star of the innings, smashing a brilliant 87 off just 44 balls, including six fours and six sixes. He was well supported by skipper Rizwan, who scored a quick 32 off 17 balls. Later, Iftikhar Ahmed played a fiery cameo, scoring 40 off just 18 deliveries. For Lahore Qalandars, Rishad Hossain was the most effective bowler, claiming two wickets.

In response, Lahore Qalandars struggled to build momentum as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Sikandar Raza fought a lone battle, scoring 50 off 27 balls, but failed to find support from the other end as Multan’s bowling attack proved too strong, with Ubaid Shah picking up three wickets in his four-over spell. Usama Mir also contributed with two wickets, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 6.50.

This victory marked Multan Sultans’ first win of PSL 2025, while Lahore Qalandars suffered their second defeat, currently placing them third on the points table. Multan Sultans will face Islamabad United on April 23, while Lahore Qalandars are set to take on Peshawar Zalmi on April 24.
