A stunning acrobatic grab by Brydon Carse in the deep brought about the dismissal of Shai Hope during the first ODI of the three-match series between England and West Indies at Edgbaston. Ben Duckett (60 off 48), Joe Root (57 off 65), and Harry Brook (58 off 45) also played their part with respective half-centuries. The eight English wickets were shared by Seales (4/84 in nine overs), Alzarri Joseph (2/69 in 10 overs), and Justin Greaves (2/68 in 10 overs).
