Towhid Hridoy was run-out via a direct hit on the third ball of the fifth over during the ongoing Match No. 5 of the Asia Cup 2025 between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Hridoy, the third wicket to fall in the Bangla Tigers’ innings, did not score a single boundary during his nine-ball stay at the crease, leaving his side reeling.
On the third ball of the fifth over, Hridoy pulled away a short ball bowled by Nuwan Thushara to the deep and immediately set off running. The throw from Kamil Mishara from the deep square leg region was right on the money and caught the batter, who was running for a third run, well short of his crease despite putting in a full-length dive.
