The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is underway from February 7 to March 8, featuring 20 teams battling for global supremacy. With the group stage entering its final week, the top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the Super Eight stage. India, South Africa, and the West Indies have already secured qualification, while the remaining five spots are still up for grabs, with several teams in contention.
The Super Eight phase promises high-intensity cricket, with every match carrying significant weight in the race to the semi-finals. As one of the tournament hosts, India are among the favourites to lift the trophy. The upcoming fixtures will be crucial, as victories in this stage will determine the four semi-finalists.
Here are the venues where India will play their Super Eight matches
India vs South Africa, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

India will begin their Super Eight campaign against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue have an impressive record at the venue, having won six of the eight T20Is played there. Notably, India also registered a victory against the Proteas at this ground during a recent bilateral series, which could provide them with added confidence.
South Africa, however, have also enjoyed success at the venue during this World Cup, winning all three of their matches there against New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Canada. With both teams boasting strong records in Ahmedabad, this contest is expected to be closely fought.

India’s second Super Eight fixture will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where they will face either Australia or Zimbabwe. The ground is traditionally known for offering assistance to spinners, but the surface at Chepauk has been relatively balanced in this tournament.
India have played three T20Is at the venue, winning two of them, including a recent victory against England in 2025. Meanwhile, both Australia and Zimbabwe are yet to experience Indian conditions in this tournament. The Super Eight clash will mark their first outing on Indian pitches, potentially giving the hosts a slight advantage.
India vs West Indies, Eden Gardens, Kolkata

India’s final Super Eight fixture will take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata against West Indies. The Men in Blue have a formidable record at the iconic venue, winning seven of the eight T20Is played there.
The West Indies, however, have fond memories of Eden Gardens, having clinched the T20 World Cup title there in 2016 by defeating England. They have played two matches at the venue earlier in the tournament, allowing them time to adapt to the conditions.
