The tickets for the semi-finals and final of the T20 World Cup 2026 will go on sale on Tuesday, February 24 from 7 PM. The seats could be secured for the first semi-final on March 4, the second semi-final on March 5 and the final on March 8.
Semi-final 1 remains a “floating venue arrangement” with the match to be held either at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo or the Eden Gardens in Kolkata subjected to Pakistan’s qualification, while semi-final 2 will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
If Pakistan qualify for the semi-finals, they will play in semi-final 1 in Colombo on March 4. However, if they fail to qualify for the semi-finals, but Sri Lanka qualify and play anyone other than India, then Sri Lanka will play in semi-final 1 in Colombo.
If neither of those apply, or if India are drawn against Sri Lanka, then semi-final 1 will be played in Kolkata on the same date. If Pakistan reach the final, it will be played in Colombo otherwise, it will be played in Ahmedabad.
Should tickets be purchased for a venue that doesn’t end up hosting either semi-final 1 or the final, these will be refunded to the ticket-holder.
The latest announcement clarifies the schedule that was announced in November, which provided for Pakistan to play the semi-final and final in Sri Lanka, but did not mention the arrangement if Sri Lanka reached the knockouts.
“If Pakistan qualifies for the semi-finals, Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium will replace Kolkata as the host of Semi-Final 1. Should Pakistan reach the final, that venue will also shift from Ahmedabad to Colombo. If India and Pakistan meet in the semi-finals, that match will be staged in Colombo, while Mumbai will host Semi-Final 2 involving India if they face any team other than Pakistan,” the previous release had mentioned.
