Asitha Fernando was the best bowling performer of the day, finishing with figures of 4/31. He dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Manav Suthar and Prasidh Krishna. He received good support from Prabath Jayasuriya, who claimed 3/43, while Lahiru Kumara finished with figures of 2/28.
