The draft for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been revealed. There was a lot of anticipation as to when the eagerly-awaited event would take place. Through an engaging social media post, the official account of the PSL revealed that the draft for PSL 2025 is scheduled to be held on January 11, 2025.
According to sources of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the process of registration for domestic and overseas players is slated to begin this week along with the announcement of the draft, as per Cricket Pakistan. This, in turn, will set the way for the franchises to explore the most sought-after and premier options from both pools of players – local and international.

According to the same informants, another meeting is set for later this week. The agenda of this assembly would be to finalize the finer, vital details pertaining to player availability and logistical arrangements.
PSL to add two new franchises with 11th season
Interestingly, the forthcoming edition will be the last one, in which six teams will be featured. From PSL 11 onwards, there is set to be an addition of two new sides. This lays the foundation for franchises and their management to construct a robust core to their respective teams, in order to go all-out for the esteemed title.
According to a few reports, a whole lot of international superstars are expected to make their entry to the draft this time around. Players such as David Warner, Steve Smith, Daryl Mitchell, Kane Williamson, and Mark Chapman are expected to create headlines as far as the draft to take place next month is concerned.
