The Rajasthan Royals have consistently been one of the most exciting sides in the Indian Premier League, known for backing young talent and playing an aggressive brand of cricket. Over the years, the Royals have built a strong batting core consisting of a strong blend of Indian and international stars.
Heading into IPL 2026, the Rajasthan-based franchise once again boast a well-rounded batting lineup capable of putting up big scores and chasing down challenging targets. With several players in top form and a fearless approach ingrained in their style, RR’s batters will be central to their hopes of making a deep run this season.
Here are 3 Rajasthan Royals batters to watch out for in IPL 2026
3. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (Opening batter)

The 14-year-old boy wonder from Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is destined for greatness, but, as they say, the second season in professional cricket is much tougher than the first one. There is a chance that it might happen with Suryavanshi. He had a breakthrough season for RR last year where he scored 252 runs at an astonishing strike rate of 206.56.
He had also scored a record-breaking 35-ball century for the Rajasthan side, making him the youngest centurion in T20 cricket in men’s cricket. This year, too, he is coming off after a stunning campaign in ICC U-19 World Cup. He will most probably open the innings for Rajasthan along with Yashasvi Jaiswal.
2. Shimron Hetmyer (Middle-order batter)

The power hitter from the West Indies, Shimron Hetmyer, will be an important factor in RR’s batting line-up. He has been in the RR setup for many years now and will be one of their biggest match winners.
The left-hander had a stellar T20 World Cup 2026 for his team, where he scored 248 runs for the Men in Maroon, with a strike rate of 186.00, showcasing his prowess with the bat. With the arrival of Ravindra Jadeja, RR will be looking to use Hetmyer’s services in the top order.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (Opening batter)

The young batter from Mumbai, Yashasvi Jaiswal is considered one of the best batters going around in the country. With Sanju Samson traded to Chennai Super Kings, the batting order of RR will revolve around him this year.
In the previous IPL season, the left-hander had scored 559 runs in 14 innings, with a strike rate of 159.71, which included six fifty-plus scores. If he wants to make a comeback into the Indian T20 side, Jaiswal needs to up his game in this year’s IPL.
