The Sunrisers Hyderabad take on the Gujarat Titans in Match 56 of the 2026 Indian Premier League on Tuesday, May 12, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
After a slow start to the season, the Sunrisers now find themselves as one of the most dominant teams in this edition. Starting their season with one win in four games, they have won six of their last seven games and sit comfortably with 14 points in 11 games. They will be looking to get the two points in Ahmedabad, which would further solidify their place as a contender for the top-two spots before the playoffs.
Here is the strongest predicted SRH XI for Match 56 vs GT:
Top order: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan (WK),

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head have been one of the most prolific opening pair in the IPL since coming together in 2024. The pair has scored a whopping 627 runs in 11 games, with two century stands. Head has finally found form with two half-centuries in the Sunrisers’ last three games, while Abhishek has been one of SRH’s most prolific batters with 475 runs at a whopping strike rate of 210.17 across the season.
Ishan Kishan has played vital knocks at number 3, coming in to build on the momentum set by the openers. He is the third Sunrisers batter to score over 400 runs in IPL 2026, with 409 runs at a strike rate of 186.75.
Middle order: Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Salil Arora, Smaran Ravichandran,

Heinrich Klaasen has been the Sunrisers’ best batter in the 2026 season. Playing his trade in a slightly modified ‘anchor-accumulator’ role, his middle overs entry-point ensures he has enough time to stabilise the innings before his merciless takedown of the bowlers in trademark fashion. His 494 runs have come at a strike rate of 157.32 and include five half-centuries, the most by a player in this edition.
Nitish Kumar Reddy has been one of the most improved players in this IPL season. He has scored 222 runs at 166.91, adding impetus to the middle order. But his biggest area of growth has been with the ball, bowling regularly over 130 kmph and hitting the pitch hard. Salil Arora showed his prowess as a six-hitter with his cameo against the Mumbai Indians. R Smaran has been a prolific batter in the domestic circuit but has yet to make a mark in IPL 2026.
Lower order/bowlers: Harsh Dubey (Impact), Pat Cummins (C), Shivang Kumar, Eshan Malinga, Sakib Hussain.

Harsh Dubey has been reliable as the defensive spin bowler, picking up eight wickets in the eight games he has played. He is expected to feature in the team given the aid that spinners receive in Ahmedabad.
Pat Cummins’ return has been a major boost, with the skipper picking up four wickets in four games and adding more impetus with the ball. Meanwhile, Shivang Kumar has been SRH’s strike spinner, picking up key wickets in the middle overs. The left-arm wrist-spinner has picked up eight wickets in the season.
Eshan Malinga has been the go-to bowler with 16 wickets in 11 games. He has bowled with accuracy and control in the middle and death overs. Sakib Hussain has been one of the finds of the season. The speedster has been exceptional in the death overs with his execution. He has picked up 10 wickets in seven games all season, including a four-fer on debut against the Rajasthan Royals.
