Gujarat Titans will be against the might of Punjab Kings in Match 46 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 03.

They come off the back of a four-wicket victory against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home. A brilliant bowling performance saw them bowl RCB out for 155, which they chased down despite a consistent loss of wickets. They sit in fifth place on the table, with ten points from nine matches, and will be hoping to make a late push to the playoffs.

Here is GT’s predicted XI against PBKS in Match 46, IPL 2026:

Top order: Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (WK),

The Gujarat Titans’ top three have much of the heavy lifting for them with the bat. The trio of skipper Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler have all scored more than 300 runs this season. Shubman Gill scored an 18-ball 43, which set the platform for the Titans’ chase of 156 against RCB. With 373 runs, he is the Titans’ leading run scorer this season. Sai Sudharasn had a failure against RCB in Ahmedabad but scored a stunning century in Bengaluru, followed by a brilliant 87 at the Chepauk.

Jos Buttler has scored over 300 runs this season after a poor showing in the T20 World Cup. Batting at number 3 has diminished his role, but he has been at his best when he has come into bat, striking at 156.85 in the season.

Middle order: Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia (Impact), Jason Holder

The Titans have had issues with runs from their middle order throughout the season. Washington Sundar, given responsibility at number 4, has scored 169 runs in the season, with one half-century. Shahrukh Khan has scored 43 runs in nine games and is yet to make a mark in an underwhelming season. Rahul Tewatia has scored just 76 runs all season but scored an unbeaten 27 to guide the Titans home against RCB in Ahmedabad.

Jason Holder has been one of GT’s most reliable players since he came into the squad. He was the player of the match against RCB for picking up two wickets and bowling with pace and bounce. A handy lower-order bat, he scored an unbeaten 23 off 10 balls to take the Titans to 205 in Bengaluru.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Manav Suthar

Rashid Khan has seen a resurgence with the ball in 2026. He has picked up 10 wickets in the season, already bettering his tally of nine wickets from 2025. He has once again been dangerous in the middle overs with his bowling. Arshad Khan has filled in brilliantly for Prasidh Krishna, picking up three wickets against RCB in Ahmedabad.

Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj have been brilliant with the new ball for the Titans. Rabada is the leading wicket-taker for the Titans with 14 scalps, bowling at over 145 km/h consistently at a hard length. He has been ably backed up by Siraj, who has nine wickets in the season. Manav Suthar has filled in well as the second spinner but was not called on to bowl in Ahmedabad against RCB.
