The utility all-rounder from Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omarzai, will be a key asset for Punjab Kings in the upcoming season of the cash-rich tournament. Known for his lower-order batting and brilliant bowling, especially in the death overs, Omarzai will give Shreyas Iyer’s team much-needed balance. 

He strengthens Punjab Kings’ bowling line-up, linking up with Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen. Omarzai can contribute with the bat if needed. In IPL 2025, he had picked up eight wickets for the Punjab-based franchise.
