Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) come into the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season on the back of a disappointing title defense last time around. The Kolkata based side finished eighth in the standings having had a poor mega auction in 2025.
KKR, however, head into the new season with a lot of promise behind themselves. They have transformed their side with many great talents with their overseas core remaining a key to their success this time around as well.
From old veterans to talented debutants, KKR fans have a lot to look forward to as they embark on their quest to win their fourth IPL title in 2026.
Here are the best four overseas players within the KKR squad:
4. Cameroon Green – Australia

Cameron Green comes into the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) with a huge burden of expectations. Not only did the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pay a mammoth INR 25.20 crore to secure his services, Green will also be expected to replace the now-retired Andre Russell in the KKR playing XI.
Despite currently being in poor form, the 26-year-old could be an extremely important addition to his new side. On his day, the right-hander is a four overs bank and a destructive player that could slot anywhere in the top or the middle order, depending on his side’s requirements.
Green has previously represented Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru where he has scored a total of 707 runs and taken 16 wickets. He also has an IPL hundred to his name, coming back in 2023 for MI.
3. Blessing Muzarabani – Zimbabwe

Coming on the back of some very impressive performances during the 2026 T20 World Cup, Blessing Muzarabani has joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman.
The 29-year-old is poised to make his IPL debut this season and is widely expected to be the lead overseas fast bowler for KKR. The Zimbabwe star took 13 wickets during the recently-concluded T20 World Cup at an economy rate of 7.88. His best performance came against Australia where he took 4 for 17 to cause a major upset.
Muzarabani does have competition from Matheesha Pathirana in the KKR lineup. The Sri Lankan, however, faces injury concerns ahead of the start of the tournament later this month.
2. Finn Allen – New Zealand

Finn Allen comes into the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) with his stocks at an all-time high. The New Zealand batter is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous openers across the T20 circuit which makes it even more impressive that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured his signature at his base price of just INR 2 crore.
Allen is set to finally solve KKR’s opening woes from last year and slot into the role this season, replacing the void left behind by Phil Salt. The 26-year-old was the top-scorer at the 2025-26 Big Bash League, scoring 466 runs at a strike-rate of 184.18. He also had a great T20 World Cup where he amassed 298 runs, striking at 200.
1. Sunil Narine – West Indies

Sunil Narine continues to lead Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) overseas contingent, as the legendary spinner enters his 15th campaign at the Eden Gardens.
Narine remains one of KKR’s most important bowlers with his spin being key for the balance of the playing XI. The 37-year-old’s four overs will remain key for his side’s chances in a particular game as he is very much capable of breaking a partnership or drying out runs from one end.
Narine’s batting prowess also remains a powerful tool for KKR to use this season. The management could easily send him to open alongside Finn Allen and create havoc just like how he did with Chris Lynn and Phil Salt.
